Hello SNIPers and Friends of Free-Roaming Cats:

Thank you to all who brought cats to our first two clinics of 2013.  For the first time, we will have not four, but five clinics.  The remaining dates are June 23, August 25 and November 3.  Clinic reservations are accepted by calling 925-473-5027 after 9:00 AM beginning on the Saturday three weeks ahead of each clinic.

This is breeding season and breeding does not stop and wait for each clinic!   Contra Costa County Animal Services Department's Spay/Neuter Clinic, Martinez, continues to provide us the opportunity to help you spay/neuter cats for FREE with SNIP authorization:

• Free-roaming Contra Costa County cat being returned back outside following surgery
• One space available per day Tuesday - Friday
• Minimum age 4 months old
• Pregnant/in-heat accepted
• Trap is required
• Ear-tip is mandatory
• Drop-off between 7:45-8:00 a.m.; pick-up around 4 p.m.  
• Services (spay or neuter and vaccinations) are fully funded by CCCASD
• Limited-time program available only while funds remain

Cats who have already given birth this season are accepted when their kittens are at least 8 weeks old and nursing little, if at all.  Spay her BEFORE the kittens are 12 weeks old to avoid another unwanted litter.
